“Chipped my front tooth on a Sunday. The dentist couldn’t see me until the 12th. I tried this on the kitchen counter and it looked normal in my Monday meeting.”

“I’ve had a small gap between my two front teeth since I was a kid. I tried this on a whim and it filled the gap in about five minutes. I’m 47 and I wish I’d known about it years ago.”
A temporary fix for a chipped or gapped tooth.
Tooth-colored thermoplastic that you shape on at home.
A tooth-colored material that softens in hot water and shapes onto a chipped or gapped tooth with your fingers. Easily pops out and back in.
Four steps that usually take about five minutes.
You’ll need a small amount of hot water (most people use a kettle or pour from a hot tap into a mug). Drop a piece of the thermoplastic in for about a minute. Once it goes clear, take it out and shape it onto the tooth with your fingers. If the shape isn’t right the first time, drop the same piece back in the water and try again. The material is reusable.
Pick a pack
1, 2, or 3 packs. Orders placed before 1pm EST ship the same day, Monday through Friday.
Heat the material
Drop a piece into hot water for about a minute. It softens and goes clear.
Shape it onto the tooth
Take it out of the water and press it onto the chip, or push it into the gap. Mold it with your fingers.
Let it cool
Run cold water over it (or just wait a minute) to set the shape. Smooth the surface and you’re done.
The same smile, before and after.
These two photos are of the same smile, taken minutes apart. The thermoplastic goes clear when you heat it in hot water. You press it onto the chip or push it into the gap with your fingers, smooth the surface, and let it cool. It hardens in about thirty seconds, and the tint is meant to blend with most natural tooth shades.
- ✓ Works for any chipped or missing tooth, front or back
- ✓ Closes small gaps between teeth
- ✓ Tinted to blend with natural enamel
- ✓ Pops out and back in easily

Back
If a chipped or gapped tooth is keeping you from smiling in photos.
Most cosmetic dental work for a single tooth costs a few hundred dollars and takes weeks of waiting for an appointment. The Imako thermoplastic is a temporary alternative you can use the same day, and it comes off cleanly if you decide to have the dental work done later.
The daily workaround
- 01You smile with your mouth closed in most photos.
- 02The dentist quote was a few hundred dollars and the next opening is a few weeks out.
- 03You chew on the other side of your mouth so you don’t make the chip worse.
- 04The small gap between your front teeth has bothered you for years.
- 05You have something coming up this weekend and you don’t want to think about your teeth.
The tooth back to normal
- 01The chip is filled in, and most people don’t notice unless you point it out.
- 02It cost $10 and took about 10 minutes.
- 03The tint is meant to blend with natural enamel, so it doesn’t stand out in photos.
- 04If you don’t like the shape, you can reheat the same piece and redo it.
- 05If you decide to have the chip bonded by a dentist later, the material comes off without damaging the tooth.
